SEC Probes Frist’s HCA Share Sale; Records Subpoenaed

Martha Stewart sells on insider information for under 50K and goes to jail. Frist does the same exact thing, only for millions…what now? A self made female millionaire goes down, and what happens to the male senator who inherits his fortune? I guess it depends on what he tells the SEC when they sit him down…if he sticks to his story and they find a phone call or some record of a communication from someone inside the company, does he get charged and prosecuted as vigirously as Stewart was? Bianca…Nobody Named Bianca? Are you Bianca?

The White House set up a press conference, an opportunity for Bush to look ‘Presidential’, and ala Jeff Gannon, there was supposed to be a plant in the press corps to toss a couple softballs. So Dubya opened up by calling on this plant named Bianca, only she hadn’t shown up!

HILLARIOUS! I’m looking for audio or video, stay tuned. Continue reading

Our Government’s Priorities

Terrorism, drugs, gun crime, poverty, white collar hedonism, trafficking of humans in the sex biz, unfunded guaranteed subsidies for the disabled (oh yes, we’ve got those too), identity theft, religious cults…and the attorney general’s hit list has pornography at the top of his agenda. Not child porn mind you, but the LEGAL kind! Continue reading

Judge: School Pledge Is Unconstitutional

Precident states that a child must be “free from a coercive requirement to affirm God”. The parents want to raise their child with the belief that God doesn’t exist and when they go to school, that belief is challenged. I wish these parents could just get over it, because it just leads to the inflamation of politicians and religicatos. Continue reading

President Says He’s Responsible in Storm Lapses

“Katrina exposed serious problems in our response capability at all levels of government, and to the extent that the federal government didn’t fully do its job right, I take responsibility…” – King George

So much for the ‘100% of the blame belongs on the state’ theory. Righties take note, the man himself said it.

Pat Robertson’s Katrina Cash

Imagine this – people who donate to the Katrina relief effort may in fact be handing their money over to the evangelicals! Makes you wonder, even after all that’s gone wrong, who Bush and his people are really serving with their efforts. Continue reading

Suits, Cronies and Spreadsheet Jockeys

American Presidents of years past have all been politicians, but at times when the country needed a leader, the politician stepped back and a leader emerged. A politician takes account of a situation and knows what to say. A leader takes account of a situation and knows what to do. Continue reading
